About Dr. Manuel Rosa
Dr. Manuel Rosa is a graduate professor, faculty-development leader, and speaker whose work focuses on responsible artificial intelligence in education, teaching and learning, student success, and institutional innovation.
Dr. Rosa's commitment to higher education is deeply personal. He grew up in a low-income household where his family relied at times on public assistance. Education, mentorship, and student involvement became important sources of opportunity and direction. As an undergraduate, his experiences as an active student leader helped shape his sense of purpose and inspired him to build a career in higher education.

Responsible AI Faculty Development
That path eventually led him to make a bold move to Miami, Florida, where he built a career spanning student success, academic leadership, learning and development, institutional assessment, faculty development, and graduate education. More than two decades later, those experiences continue to inform his belief that education can expand opportunity, change trajectories, and create possibilities that may not otherwise exist.
Since 2011, he has served as a Graduate Professor and Advisor in the School of Education at Keiser University, where he teaches graduate courses, mentors doctoral students, chairs dissertation committees, and supports faculty development in areas including responsible AI, assignment redesign, academic integrity, prompt development, and effective online instruction. He also previously led the Graduate School Assessment Committee for a decade.
Earlier leadership roles included Director of Student Services and General Education at Le Cordon Bleu Miami, where student-retention initiatives contributed to a 42 percent improvement in retention, and Organization Development and Learning at Florida International University, where he designed and facilitated professional development in leadership, teamwork, diversity, customer service, and employee onboarding.
Today, Dr. Rosa helps educators and institutions move beyond AI anxiety and tool demonstrations toward responsible adoption that strengthens learning while preserving critical thinking, academic rigor, professional judgment, authentic assessment, and meaningful human interaction.
Through Dr. Gen Z, his educator and thought-leadership platform, he also examines how younger generations are navigating artificial intelligence, education, work, leadership, and culture. His professional work centers on a defining question: How can educators and institutions use artificial intelligence to expand human capability without allowing technology to replace the judgment, relationships, reflection, and intellectual work that make education meaningful?
